As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainski Novyny, this was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv.
He recalled that according to Naftohaz Ukrainy, country's major oil and gas producer, the current imported gas price has increased by 8 percent.
"We're talking about a price variation. An 8 percent growth is not a 10 percent growth, which proves no recalculation is needed," he said.
According to the memorandum with the IMF, Ukraine pledged to introduce a quarterly adjustment of retail tariffs for gas and thermal energy from Jan. 1, 2017, if the tariffs deviate from full cost coverage (imported gas prices) by 10 percent or more.
