 Russian-backed militants release two Ukrainian female hostages. PHOTO

Dec. 27, the Donbas militants handed over two captive women Anzhelika Presniakova and Olha Svorak to Head of Ukrainian center for liberation of hostages Officers Corps Volodymyr Ruban "as a goodwill gesture."

Censor.NET reports citing Hromadske TV.

The handover reportedly took place somewhere between Donetsk and Makiivka. The "DPR" militants were represented by members of the so-called "State Security Ministry of the Donetsk People's Republic."

Earlier, leaders of the "DPR" and "LPR" militants Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky announced their intention to transfer two Ukrainian female prisoners to non-affiliated Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Nadiia Savchenko "as a goodwill gesture."
