SBU confirms no handover of two Ukrainian hostages to Savchenko, - Tandit

The Ukrainian Security Service does not confirm the transfer of two female hostages held by the breakaway "Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics" to non-affiliated MP Nadiia Savchenko.

This was announced by SBU head adviser Yurii Tandit on air of Hromadske TV channel, Censor.NET reports.

"There is no exchange. It's already clear to everyone the opposing side and Russia are trying to manipulate our prominent politicians. We only say it's us who ensure the process of freeing hostages. We can't say how they will further use Savchenko, we are not involved in all this," he said.

According to him, Ukraine is ready to transfer 15 hostages to the opposing side. The Ukrainian side also insists on the 228-for-58 exchange formula agreed with the OSCE.

"We are ready to give three and more for each of our hostages. It has been decided to exchange 228 people for 58 Ukrainian hostages," Tandit added.
