Russian hybrid forces continued shelling Ukrainian positions in all sectors of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area over the past 24 hours, Censor.NET reports citing the ATO press center.
It was reported about 50 militants' attacks, including two conducted upon residential areas.
In the Mariupol sector, the militants repeatedly fired from 122 mm guns, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, machine guns of various systems at Shyrokyne, Lebedynske, Talakivka and Vodiane. Novotroitske came under large-caliber machine gun fire, while Shyrokyne was hit by IFV weaponry.
The militants attacked Ukrainian positions near Vodiane, but were forced to retreated after the ATO forces' retaliation.
In the Donetsk sector, the Ukrainian positions were fired upon from 152 mm artillery near Krasnyi Pahar and Pivnichne. It was reported about the militants' fire from 122 mm guns, mortars, IFV weaponry, and machine guns in the vicinity of Luhanske, at Svitlodarsk salient. Avdiivka, Novoluhanske, Pivnichne, Novoselivka Druha and Verkhniotoretske were shelled with 120 mm and 82 mm mortars. The militants shelled Myronivka with 152 mm guns. The terrorists tried to attack Ukrainian positions at Svitlodarsk salient three times, though each time they had to retreat taking away the wounded.
In the Luhansk sector, the village of Syze was shelled with BM-21 Grad rocket system. The militants fired at Novozvanivka and Troitske from 152 mm artillery. Troitske, Novooleksandrivka, Zhovte, Lobacheve and Stanytsia Luhanska were fired from 120 mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
