As reported by Censor.NET, the address of new Chairman of the Board was posted on the bank's official page on Facebook.
Oleksandr Shlapak's address to customers and bank employees:
"Today it is safe to say that we have successfully coped with stabilization and preservation of the largest Ukrainian bank and minimized panic among the bank's clients. Privatbank operates as usual, the payments are made without any restrictions.
"I want to thank our customers for the confidence they held in us, their self-possession and patience. We are sorry if we made you feel uncomfortable - we did our best to make the change of bank ownership smooth for customers.
"The state provided active support to the bank at the outset of its nationalization. We have possibility to replenish cash in ATMs and bank outlets all over Ukraine. Yesterday, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on additional guarantees to Privatbank depositors. Today's bank performance and statistics show that the situation has stabilized and I hope the bank will require no above-limit support of the owners and the regulator in the future.
"The bank's focus on innovation is one of the major assets of the bank and entire Ukraine. Privat24 e-banking and other convenient banking services are running consistently and will remain available to our customers. We are not going to reduce corporate lending but rather expand it through further development of programs to support entrepreneurship under the National program for enterprise development and job creation in private business.
"Privatbank team is the bank's greatest treasure and asset. I thank all the employees for their wisdom, patience and desire to conscientiously do their jobs. I was surprised by rumors that the staff was being replaced. This is not true. The remuneration system and personnel policy will not undergo major changes.
"I am confident that several thousand strong bank staff is ready for new challenges: to provide high-quality services to millions of our customers and a number of large state-owned enterprises. The fact that the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine has transferred its payroll program in Privatbank indicates that the bank gets a high degree of confidence from the state.
"Thanks for trusting us!"
