"In a battle near Debaltseve, we lost our comrade, soldier of the 54th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fighter of #VіlnіLiudy rapid response groups, Roman "Hiurza" Radyvyliv. In 2014, 30-year-old Roman volunteered for the war. He fought in Pisky, the Donetsk airport, where he was shell-shocked for the first time. He repeatedly conducted reconnaissance raids into the enemy-held territory, suffered burns near Volnovakha, and after the second concussion, returned home for a while. While on treatment, he did not stop fighting the enemy: as part of Vilni Liudy rapid response groups he did training, took part in rallies aimed at the economic de-occupation of Ukraine, the shutdown of Inter TV channel, putting to justice the persons like Yefremov who brought Russian occupants to our land," he said.
"From the very beginning of the war, Hiurza dedicated himself to protecting Ukraine. He knew that Moscow is waging an all-out war against us. Therefore, he did not stop fighting both as a soldier at war and as a citizen in the rear. Being a true free man, he was invincible and courageous. On Dec. 18, during a massive artillery bombardment as the enemy tried to break through Ukrainian positions on the Variah height in the Svitlodarsk salient, he bravely died in combat. It seems little time has passed since we met during rallies, did training, spent evenings drinking and joking. And now, his hometown Derhachi in the Kharkiv region has declared a three-day mourning. He is survived by mother and girlfriend. I ask for assistance to organize the funeral and support the family. This is the least we can do for the one who protected us at the cost of his own life. Heroes are among us. Heroes do not die!" Kuzan summed up.
