 Russian militants shell Ukrainian army positions in Svitlodarsk salient with 120 and 82 mm mortars, - Staff

The Russian militants shelled the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces’ positions in the Svitlodarsk salient with 120 and 82 mm mortars on Monday, Dec 19.

As reported by Censor.NET, spokesperson for the ATO Staff press center Leonid Matiukhin told Ukrainski Novyny.

"Our positions near Luhanske (the Donetsk region) occasionally come under strikes with 120 mm mortars. The shelling started at 1:30 p.m. and is still ongoing," he said.

Matiukhin also said that the militants had already committed 20 attacks on the ATO forces' positions on Monday.

Namely, the militants shelled Talakivka (the Donetsk region) with 82 mm mortars.

The invaders fired upon Shyrokyne with 120 and 82 mm mortars and IFV weapons.

The militants also shelled the ATO forces' positions near Stanytsia Luhanska (the Luhansk region) with grenade launchers.
