 Five Ukrainian soldiers killed, six wounded, 10 injured and shell-shocked, - ATO spokesman

Five Ukrainian soldiers are reported killed, six wounded, 10 injured and shell-shocked in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area on Dec. 18.

Spokesperson for Ukraine's Defense Ministry on ATO matters Andrii Lysenko said it at a briefing on Monday, Censor.NET reports.

"Over the past day, five Ukrainian soldiers were killed, six wounded, 10 injured and shell-shocked in combat. These casualties were suffered in the Svitlodarsk salient during a heavy artillery strike. These are the heaviest losses sustained over the past five months," he said.

According to Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, 10,000 Ukrainians have been killed and more than 20,000 wounded since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbas in 2014. As reported by the U.N., the total death toll of the conflict in Ukraine from mid-April 2014 to Dec.1, 2016 is 9,758, with another 22,779 people wounded.
