Russian hybrid forces have significantly increased the intensity of the attacks on Dec. 16. It was reported about 52 militants' attacks at Ukrainian soldiers in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area over the past 24 hours, Censor.NET reports citing the ATO press center.
In the Mariupol sector, 152 mm artillery hit Talakivka, while Shyrokyne, Krasnohorivka, Lebedynske and Vodiane were mortared with 122 mm shells.
Talakivka, Krasnohorivka, Shyrokyne and Vodiane also came under mortar fire. The militants fired at Marinka, Hnutove, Novotroitske and Vodiane from large-caliber machine guns and small arms. The militants' IFV hit Shyrokyne, and a sniper activity was registered at Krasnohorivka.
In the Luhansk sector, 152 mm artillery fired at Troitske and Novozvanivka. Mortars, large-caliber machine guns and small arms were used near Popasna, Novooleksandrivka, Stanytsia Luhanska and Nyzhnioteple.
In the Donetsk sector, 122 mm artillery hit Nevelske. The Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka and Luhanske were fired form mortars, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
