 Ukraine "visa lib" to be granted along with suspension mechanism launch, - Foreign Ministry

The issue of granting a visa-free regime for Ukraine is depoliticized.

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine quoting Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mariana Betsa.

"Once the visa suspension mechanism is approved and comes into force, Ukraine will get visa-free travel with no delay," Betsa said.

She recalled that on Dec. 15 the European Parliament approved a legislative procedure for the suspension of visa-free regime with third countries.

"EU's inter-institutional negotiations are underway. Granting visa free travel for Ukraine is absolutely depoliticized: political decision on the issue is there. Now it's about EU's inter-institutional voting," the diplomat stressed.
