EU's actions towards visa waiver are huge historical mistake, - Iryna Herashchenko

First Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Iryna Herashchenko believes delaying visa-free travel for Ukraine is "a huge historical mistake."

Censor.NET reports citing Herashchenko's Facebook page.

"The actions of the EU, the European Parliament and other institutions, which unfoundedly delay visa liberalization, cause disappointment and indignation. Furthermore, the EU teaches Ukraine to be a responsible partner...

"Everything that is happening in Brussels and other European capitals is a great historical mistake, Ukrainians and Georgians do not deserve it.

"You did not draw conclusions from 2008, dear friends Europeans, when Putin showed he could impose his will on the West, when you failed to give Ukraine and Georgia a Membership Action Plan.

"The Ukrainian society is losing its confidence in the EU and this is the guilt and responsibility of the European Union," Herashchenko wrote.
