Hroisman said on air of Podrobytsi Tyzhnia TV show, Censor.NET reports.
"We plan to increase pensions by 10 percent next year. But the main challenge we face in the pension system is the Pension Fund shortfall reduction. Just think of it: we now have 150 billion hryvnia Pension Fund shortfall caused by the weak government policy. Taking measures to reduce this deficit is the government's key task," the prime minister said.
He added that the issue of further increase in pension tolerance level remained pressing.
"Of course, we understand that the minimum pension in Ukraine is way too small. Therefore, this issue is on our radar. We will make every effort to find a solution. And as soon as it is found, we will have the honesty to report the Ukrainian citizens that we are able to accomplish it today and make the next step in half a year," Hroisman said.
