Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze and Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Valerii Chalyi met with Chairman of the Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, member of armed services, judiciary and budget committees Lindsey Graham.

The parties discussed priorities as regards repelling the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The vice prime minister and the ambassador of Ukraine thanked the senator for his support in the passage by the U.S. Congress of legislation providing for increased U.S. financial and security aid to Ukraine.

They expressed appreciation for the inclusion by senator Graham's subcommittee of an authorization to provide Ukraine with additional U.S. loan guarantees in the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2017.

Special attention was paid to future cooperation in ensuring the passage by the Senate and signing into law of the Stability and Democracy for Ukraine Act.

Senator Graham offered reassurance he would continue supporting Ukraine and confirmed his intention to visit the country together with Senate Armed Service Committee Chairman John McCain in late December 2016.
