 Russian militants fired upon Ukrainian troops 42 times over past day, used 120 mm mortars, AA guns, IFVs, - Staff

The Russian occupation forces attacked the Ukrainian Army positions 42 times over the past 24-hour period.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.

The statement reads: "The the enemy shelled Shyrokyne, Krasnohorivka and Talakivka in Mariupol direction with 120 and 82 mm mortars. The occupants fired upon Marinka, Novohryhorivka and Novotroitske with grenade launchers, weapons of infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft guns and large-caliber machine guns. Sniper attacks were also recorded in Krasnohorivka.

"Grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns were employed against Avdiivka, Zaitseve and Luhanske in Donetsk direction. In Luhansk direction, the enemy shelled Balka Kosharna with 120 and 82 mm mortars, Novooleksandrivka, Troitske and Krymske - with grenade launchers of various systems. Stanytsia Luhanska came under attack as well," the situation report reads.
