"The exercises have nothing to do with NATO's intention to strengthen its presence in the Black Sea basin. The alliance is aware of threats, the redistribution and build-up of Russia's military facilities in Crimea. So they respond appropriately, increasing the group in the Black Sea," Poltorak said.
He stressed that Ukraine is ready to cooperate with NATO in this respect.
"But I think it is only possible after the issue is agreed, after a strategic decision is made by allies. We cannot voluntarily decide on this," the minister added.
