 Vienna prosecutor's office receives Spain's request to extradite Firtash, - DW

A request for the extradition of Ukrainian billionaire Dmytro Firtash has been officially received by Austria and is being studied by the Vienna prosecutor's office.

Censor.NET reports citing Deutsche Welle.

Pursuant to the procedure, if the prosecutor's office finds no circumstances contradicting to the extradition of the suspect, the case will be referred to court. In case of a positive ruling, the final word rests with the Austrian Ministry of Justice, the prosecutor's office says.

Earlier, the prosecutor's office of Spain put fugitive Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firtash along with his two alleged accomplices on the international wanted list on charges of laundering large sums of money.

Five other accomplices directly engaged in laundering the capitals of the oligarch, including famous Spanish lawyer Antonio de Fortuny, were arrested in Barcelona and in the resort town of Marbella.
