Many Ukrainian MPs travel to Crimea, - Isliamov

Russia-based Crimean Tatar businessman, coordinator of the Crimea blockade campaign Lenur Isliamov says many Ukrainian MPs continue visiting the occupied peninsula.

He said in an interview with Censor.NET.

For example, Opposition Bloc deputy Oleksandr Vilkul is among them. According to Isliamov, he met Vilkul at the border while he was travelling to occupied Crimea on vacation.

Isliamov also said that certain people wanted to introduce him to Viktor Medvedchuk [infamous Ukrainian politician and oligarch, Putin's close friend - ed.], but he refused.

"Our Ukraine consists of many unpredictable people... A lot of them want to negotiate... I don't know what Medvedchuk intended to discuss with me and if he really was going to... Maybe they wanted to involve me in someone else's game. Many people in power don't want to see us being that active. They want to make the issue of Crimean Tatars in Crimea the least important and pull out a map with Russian Crimea instead and stick to it. And rule...

"I refused to meet [Medvedchuk - ed.]. I could hardly tolerate Vilkul at the border when I met him on his way to Crimea," Isliamov said.

When asked whether Vilkul was travelling to Crimea on vacation, Isliamov said: "Surely, plenty of our MPs travel to Crimea."
