"Militants got quieter. We are prepared to winter. Morale is high. Defending our positions," - Ukrainian military in Avdiivka industrial area. VIDEO

The intensity of fire by pro-Russian militants upon the Ukrainian Army positions has decreased significantly, but the shots are heard all the time.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 5 Channel, terrorists no longer employ large-caliber artillery but conduct constant fire from small arms, mortars, and AGS.

"When we came here for the first time, it was much more difficult. The shelling was heavier. Now the fire is less intense. The territory is exposed to machine gun fire. After dark, they start firing from 'vasilek,' and a 120 [mm caliber] joins sometimes.

"No 152 [mm caliber] is heard now," call sign 'Vedmid' from the 72nd brigade said.
