 Poroshenko calls Croatia's PM to promote EU visa-free suspension mechanism completion

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, who arrived in Ukraine on the first official visit since the independence of the two countries.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the president's press office, Petro Poroshenko is hopeful that former Head of the European Parliament Delegation to Ukraine Andrej Plenković will maintain high level of attention to Ukraine, European integration and bilateral relations between the countries as the prime minister of Croatia.

The prime minister informed that Croatia had established the working group in support of Ukraine pursuant to his instruction. The group consists of senior officials from several Croatian ministries and agencies.

The parties discussed intensification of bilateral work mechanisms aimed to expand trade and economic cooperation.

The Ukrainian president thanked Plenković for consistent support of Croatia in the issue of territorial integrity of Ukraine in international organizations.

Poroshenko urged the prime minister of Croatia to comprehensively promote the completion of work over the visa-free regime suspension mechanism within the E.U., which will pave the way for the abolition of visas for Ukraine and completion of ratification of the Ukraine - EU Association Agreement.
