Flowers were laid and a commemoration served near the Heavenly Hundred Heroes Cross in Kyiv on Nov. 21, the Day of Dignity and Freedom. The event was attended by clergy, families of the fallen heroes, those wounded in the Maidan events and other activists.
As reported by Censor.NET, the event marks the third anniversary of the beginning of the Revolution of Dignity.
Volodymyr Holodniuk (pictured above), father of killed Euromaidan activist and Ukraine's Hero Ustym Holodniuk, who was killed aged 19 on Feb. 20, 2014 by a gunshot to his head, said to journalists: "The country is changing but not as fast as we would like it to, or Heroes of Maidan would like it to. It's too slow. But I believe the new generation has been born that will be raised on the heroic acts of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, and the country will change. It will definitely change. I believe in that."
