 48 people killed by Syrian and Russian air strikes in Aleppo over past 24 hours

48 people were killed in air strikes and artillery attacks in Syrian Aleppo over the past 24 hours.

This was announced by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Censor.NET reports citing Radio Svoboda.

According to human rights activists, 48 ​​people, including five children, were killed in a rebel-controlled areas of Aleppo.

The number of people killed in the shelling of Aleppo and its suburbs has risen to 180 over the past five days. Hospitals have also become targets of air strikes and shelling in the eastern part of Aleppo. All medical institutions in the region stopped functioning.

Syrian government forces launched a new offensive on rebel positions in Aleppo on Nov.15. Since July, more than 250 thousand people remain under the siege.
