Samopomich faction leaves parliament’s session hall: “We will not vote until bringing Novynskyi to responsibility is put before Rada”

Samopomich faction left the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in protest against the actions of the Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and Support to Work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding stripping Opposition bloc MP Vadym Novynskyi of immunity.

The parliamentary correspondent for Censor.NET reports.

"Samopomich will not take part in voting until the issue to bring Vadym Novynskyi to justice is brought up for vote," MP Yehor Soboliev said from the parliamentary rostrum.

"The Parliamentary Procedure Rules Committee must take a non-binding decision. Moreover, yesterday's events are destroying Ukraine as a constitutional state. The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) was just humiliated, steamrolled over. Either it will agree with that and pull itself together and submit the reviewed motion or we will start collecting signatures and replace the prosecutor general who failed to handle it, as proposed by Samopomich," faction leader Oleh Bereziuk commented on the decision made by Samopomich.
