"We were asked to let these people enter," - Tymoshenko explained presence of Medvedchuk's bodyguard in Rada

Leader of Batkivshchyna party Yuliia Tymoshenko claims that Radical Party MP Yurii Shukhevych personally asked her to give him the opportunity to make a statement during today's parliamentary meeting.

She said it to journalists on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports.

"His faction (the Radical Party) did not sign his application for making a statement. We allowed Mr. Shukhevych, a very respected person, to speak. I gave him three minutes that our faction had. And I fully support everything Yurii Shukhevych said from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada," Tymoshenko said noting that Shukhevych called for setting up a temporary investigative commission (TIC) to probe "the war and corruption crimes of this government," including the president of Ukraine.

When asked whether it was her who arranged a pass to the Verkhovna Rada for Victor Medvedchuk's [infamous Ukrainian politician known for his close ties with Putin - ed.] "aide" Oleksandr Bilyk, she said: "Unfortunately, Shukhevych himself can not invite those he wants because he is almost blind, so we were asked to let these people enter. But they are people from his team," she said.

According to Tymoshenko, Shukhevych declared the establishment of Patriots of Ukraine NGO.

"And he also invited these people to the Verkhovna Rada," the politician added.

When asked whether she personally arranged the pass, she said: "Dear friends, I don't know their names. You'd better ask Yurii Shukhevych. But it seems to me this is the man who leads the executive secretariat of the newly established Patriots of Ukraine non-governmental organization. I don't know this man," she summed up.
