 Trump, Putin did not discuss Crimea and Donbas, Peskov says

U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin of Russia did not discuss recognition of the status of Crimea and the settlement of the situation in the east of Ukraine in the recent telephone conversation.

As reported by Censor.NET citing TASS news agency, this was said by Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian president.

Asked whether the Crimea and Donbas issues were raised during the talks, he said: "No, they were not discussed."

The spokesperson added that these issues were not discussed since "Barack Obama is the current president, while it is he and his administration who we will continue working with until the inauguration."
