Ex-MP Firsov: "Vilkul openly threatened me at Shuster talk show"

Former people's deputy Yehor Firsov claims threats by Opposition Bloc MP Oleksandr Vilkul voiced against him during Shuster Live talk show.

Censor.NET reports referring to Firsov's Facebook page.

As noted, during a commercial brake, Firsov was approached and explicitly threatened by Opposition Bloc member Oleksandr Vilkul.

"Vilkul said he forgot nothing and well remembered how I came to Kryvyi Rih and sought mayoral re-election along with Samopomich. As you remember, his father nearly lost then to [Samopomich's - ed.] candidate Myloboh and could win only due to explicit fraud. We succeeded and re-election in Kryvyi Rih was finally announced. I have long forgotten this, but Vilkul said he would make me pay a price," the ex-deputy wrote.

"Needless to say, I gave him a fitting answer. I told Vilkul I have never been afraid of Yanukovych's bandits in Donetsk, where I had been involved in politics until 2014, of threats and titushkas that they used against us, of telling the truth as Poroshenko's bloc MP (and was deprived of the seat in the parliament for that), and I will not fear threats by a rich kid whose father bought him a ticket to the big politics for the money stolen in Kryvyi Rih," Firsov said.

"But, honestly, I was surprised. Two years after the revolution, not only the killers of protesters have been punished but feel at ease and continue to threaten us. Vilkul is sure he will return. They've arranged that nothing will happen to them and laugh cheekily in our faces. They've got away with it. That's really scary," he concluded.
