This was announced by Defense Ministry spokesperson on ATO matters, Colonel Andrii Lysenko at a briefing on Wednesday, Censor.NET reports.
"The enemy continues firing along the entire demarcation line. The militants violated the cease-fire in Stanytsia Luhanska district, near Shchastia, near Slovianoserbsk, in Popasna district. In Stanytsia Luhanska, the enemy shelling lasted for four hours with a break," the spokesperson said.
In Krymske and vicinity, as well as in Popasna, the occupants employed mortars and 122 mm cannons. The number of missiles shelled by the enemy totaled over 90 pieces. Most of the heavy weapon shelling was conducted between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
"Given the regular and systematic shelling on the part of the enemy in Stanytsia Luhanska, the disengagement of troops and hardware is not yet possible there," Lysenko said.
The total number of shelling in Luhansk region reached 16 cases yesterday, including six with heavy weapons.
