 Pororshenko thanks EU for boosting Russia sanctions

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has thanked the European Union for the introduction of additional personal sanctions against State Duma deputies elected in Crimea.

Censor.NET reports citing Poroshenko's Twitter page.

"I welcome the decision of the European Council to introduce additional personal sanctions in connection with the illegal "parliamentary elections" in Crimea. I thank the European Union for maintaining its policy of non-recognition of Crimea's illegal annexation and strengthening sanctions pressure against the Russian aggressor," Poroshenko said.
