This was announced by Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman at a Tuesday teleconference on housing and utility subsidies program implementation, Censor.NET reports referring to the Cabinet's press service.
According to the prime minister, dishonest politicians are spreading false rumors that the citizens will have to repay subsidies or that an increase in the minimum wage will affect their granting.
"I once again want to stress that a subsidy is a compensation, a discount for a particular Ukrainian family based on their income, which is non-repayable," Hroisman said.
He noted that most Ukrainians will not see any raise in utility costs compared to the previous year. On the contrary, some families will pay less amounts.
"The exploiters who are trying to take advantage of this situation should first think about the people," the prime minister noted.
