 Lortkipanidze resigns as Odesa region police chief

Head of the National Police in the Odesa region Giorgi Lortkipanidze has resigned.

As reported by Censor.NET, a corresponding statement has been published on the regional police website.

"It's been an honor working as chief of the Odesa region police. Everything in this life has a logical beginning, continuation and final. After a year and a half since my appointment as head of the Odesa region police, I've decided to leave the office. I want to wish good luck to each police officer with whom I've covered this difficult path. I believe in the people of Odesa and a better future of our country," Lortkipanidze said.

On June 16, 2015, Giorgi Lortkipanidze was appointed head of the Interior Ministry Main Department in Ukraine's Odesa region.
