Poroshenko said during the International Economic Forum in Lviv, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"Many of those who filed declarations indicated extra cash, thinking it was a 'zero' declaration that would allow them to avoid scrutiny. But the key point here is to draw a line under their 25-year life period, and make them explain the origins of their fortunes," Poroshenko said.
The president stressed that electronic declarations would help deal with officials who have worked in public sector for years and have earned fortunes over this time.
"We have to fight not the rich but the criminals who buy flats, cars, houses, villas while working in public sector all the time," he said.
According to Poroshenko, electronic declarations are the right of people for justice.
