Censor.NET reports referring to the SBU press center.
Before the session, a joint prayer service for Ukraine was held at the Sarmat base with the participation of officers from the Joint Staff of SBU's Central Office in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.
The SBU head thanked the participants for holding the 25th anniversary session not in warm halls but with servicemen who protect Ukraine.
"I am sure that all of you will return home in a cheerful mood after having this opportunity to look into the eyes of soldiers at the front line and pray for them," he said.
Hrytsak believes the enemy has redirected its aggression at Ukrainians' spiritual life.
"It is trying to target our unity, patriotism and tolerance. That is why not only our soldiers but the whole society needs spiritual care," the SBU head noted.
According to Hrytsak, the churches must take efforts to reengage people in occupied territories into Ukrainian social processes.
He emphasized that the representatives of the churches can become key participants in the liberation of hostages.
"We believe that your involvement in the process of negotiations will have effect even on those who have nothing sacred inside," Hrytsak said.
"Our soldiers have to feel that all the confessions are unified in supporting and helping them morally and materially," Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine Filaret said.
"Each soldier needs to be sure that the church supports them and a peaceful life is awaiting them at home," Head of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Sviatoslav said.
The participants also discussed the development of chaplaincy and participation of churches in volunteer movement.
