 Rada committee approves personal sanctions against 15 individuals, including Medvedchuk, Grigorishin, Firtash

The Verkhovna Rada's National Security and Defense Committee has unanimously approved draft resolution No. 5274 urging the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to impose personal sanctions against given individuals "for generating real and/or potential threats to Ukraine's national interests, national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, fostering terrorist activities."

The document stipulates that upon the NSDC decision, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry will have to address the competent authorities within the EU, U.S. and other countries with a request to consider the introduction of similar restrictions.

The resolution lists 15 individuals, including Viktor Medvedchuk, Dmytro Firtash, Konstantin Grigorishin, Oleksandr Klymenko, Oleg Deripaska, Alexander Babakov, Viktor Nusenkis, Ramzan Tsitsulaev and others.

It also includes 12 legal entities: Rosneft OJSC, Sberbank PJSC, Media Holding Vesti Ltd, Group DF Holdings Ltd, and others.
