Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.
The amount of subsidy granted based on the total income of each household as well as the utility tariffs will be reflected in the heating bills distributed in November.
According to the Social Policy Ministry, the average housing allowance in Ukraine during the current cold season amounts to 2,000 hryvnia (about $77).
"The mandatory public utility charge is even less now than it was during the previous heating season (the living wage used in formula to calculate the subsidy rate was raised to 1,399 hryvnia in May 2016). In general, the lower the income of a family is, the lower its utility charges and the larger the size of the government support will be," the press-service of the Ministry of Social Policy said.
