Spokesperson for the Special Operation Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksii Nikiforov told Ukrainski Novyny, Censor.NET reports.
"One soldier was killed and three were wounded," he said.
According to Nikiforov, those injured were taken to health facilities in Kropyvnytskyi.
However, he stressed that the cause of the explosion had not yet been established.
The team of investigators from the Military Prosecutor's Office and the National Police are examining the scene.
Besides, spokesperson for the State Emergency Service Directorate in the Kirovohrad region Viktoria Krokhmaliuk reported that rescue teams left for the scene. However, the rescuers' aid was not required as no major damage was inflicted to the building and the fire didn't break out following the explosion.
Krokhmaliuk emphasized that the second floor where the explosion occurred was rented by the 3rd Special Operations Regiment.
