Engineers and rescuers are going to complete the disposal of munitions scattered after the blast at the Svatove warehouse in 2015.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 5 Channel, after a year of demining works in Svatove, engineers have cleared 5 hectares of land and defused 18,000 shells and mortars.

The authorities have repaired 58 shell-damaged multistorey blocks, while owners of private houses had to do the fixing at their expense. Some 3,000 private homes are said to have been damaged with reconstruction costs reaching about 53 million hryvnia ($2.045 million).
