As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Kyivenerho press service.
"The heating season of winter 2016-2017 will be one of the most difficult in the past decade," the message reads.
The agency said they managed to start the season in capital city of Kyiv in 14 days.
"Starting from Oct. 12, Kyivenerho turned on heating in 100 percent of residential buildings of communal property, all social infrastructure facilities (children and medical), and 96 percent of houses belonging to housing associations and condominiums," the message reads.
"Given than 70 percent of capital city networks have long exhausted their 25-year operational capacity, the level of accident risks will remain high through the heating season," the press service reported.
Since the beginning of the year, he city heating system has seen 10,181 accidents compared to 9,017 in the same period of 2015.
