Cabinet insists on special forfeiture law adoption, PM Hroisman says

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine urges the members of the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the law on special confiscation.

This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"We called on the parliament to make efforts to return everything that had been stolen from the country. We have needs to cover [with these funds], patch up the Pension Fund shortfall. We can use these funds to finance the Ukrainian Army after all, to address the healthcare issue and others.

"We cannot let these funds to be kept on bank accounts until someone siphons them off abroad. I consider this approach to be absolutely unacceptable. Therefore, we insist that this issue is addressed, adopted by the parliament in a legal manner. We also insist that the parliament takes the necessary steps in order to return these funds to the state budget," the PM said.
