 Security agency releases Ukrainians apprehended in Transnistria, - Border Guard Service's spokesman Slobodian

Ukrainians apprehended on the border with unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on Oct.19 have been liberated.

Spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodian told 5 TV Channel, Censor.NET reports.

As reported earlier, the State Security Committee (KGB) of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic claims that its officers apprehended several Ukrainian citizens, including an alleged employee of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Mykhailo Maliuta. Later today, the Spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleh Slobodian announced that Ukrainian citizens apprehended the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic did not spy in the unrecognized state.

"Citizen Maliuta is not involved into any military service, including the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He only worked seasonally as a fireman in one of the departments," the spokesman said.
