The decision was made at the hearing organized upon request of the prosecutors of the Mykolaiv region on Oct. 20-21, 2016, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Prosecutor's Office in the Mykolaiv region.
In particular, the detention term for the service vehicle driver who fired at the victim was extended to Dec.18 without the right to bail. The detainee's actions were qualified as crimes under article 115 (part 1 - homicide) and article 365 (part 3 - overreaching of law enforcement with heavy consequences) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The detention term for the two other suspects was extended to Dec.18 wit the right to bail at 120,000 UAH ($4,615). Their actions were qualified anew as crimes under article article 365 (part 2 - overreaching of law enforcement without heavy consequences) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As previously reported, resident of Kryve Ozero town Oleksandr Tsukerman was murdered by police officers during his detention Aug. 24. Next day, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko announced three police officers were apprehended on suspicion of beating to death a man they had previously detained. Three more officers were later apprehended on charges of Tsukerman's murder. The court hearing on pre-trial restraints against the first three suspects is underway. At the moment, the police have revealed the names of all officers present during the murder in the Mykolaiv region.
