 29 Russian BTGs stood on Ukraine's border at time of MH17 crash, - former SBU Head Nalyvaichenko

Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, former chief of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU), has unveiled secret information about the number of battalion tactical groups of the Russian army deployed on the Ukrainian border in the Donbas in summer 2014.

He said it on air of Shuster LIVE talk show, Censor.NET reports.

"At the time of the Malaysian Boeing catastrophe, let me declassify this information, 29 battalion tactical groups of Russia's armed forces were deployed along the border of Ukraine and put on full alert.

"How did Russia's BTG look like at that time? These are motorized units, tanks, portable air-defense systems, artillery, reconnaissance and sabotage groups - a serious concentrated force. There were 29 such concentrated forces along the border of only two Ukrainian regions in July 2014," Nalyvaichenko said.
