As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated in the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center as at 6 a.m. Oct. 19.
According to the Staff, 44 provocations against the ATO forces were recorded in Mariupol direction: "The militants employed large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers, and small arms against strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Talakivka, Pavlopil, Hranitne, Krasnohorivka, and Marinka. Vodiane, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne were once again shelled with 122 and 152 mm cannon artillery as well as 82 mm and 120 mm mortars."
"The enemy breached truce in Luhansk direction 10 times. The enemy fired upon the Ukrainian troops' positions in the vicinity of Popasna and Orikhove with grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms. The detachments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Novozvanivka and Krymske were shelled with 120 mm mortars," the situation report reads.
In Donetsk direction, the Staff reported three attacks on the ATO forces: "The enemy shelled Avdiivka with grenade launchers as well as employed 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms against positions in Verkhniotoretske."
As reported, the Russian militants committed 29 attacks on the ATO forces' positions Oct. 17.
