The criminal proceedings involve some 7,000 instances of illegal human interference with the automated case picking system and intrusion into the work of judges with a view to making them rule in favor of criminals.

Censor.NET reports referring to Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko's Facebook.

As noted, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has issued indictments against former head and deputy head of the Higher Economic Court of Ukraine (who are judges of the court for the time being) Yemelianov and Tatkov for committing a string of crimes.

According to Lutsenko, there is evidence that these persons actually subjugated the system of judicial decisions in 2011-2014.

"We are probing some 7,000 instances of illegal human interference with the automated case picking system as well as intrusion into the work of judges so as to make them rule in favor of criminals at all levels," Lutsenko said.

As reported by the PGO press service, the investigation has found that the said persons, while holding senior positions in the system of Ukraine's economic courts and abusing their office, interfered in the work of judges in order to force them into passing unfair decisions.

Moreover, both Yemelianov and Tatkov unlawfully interfered with the automated case picking system for the purpose of assigning suits to predetermined judges.

The investigation is underway, and the suspects are being faced with pre-trial restraints. Law enforcers take efforts to establish all the circumstances around the crimes as well as Yemelianov and Tatkov's possible involvement in other illegal actions, the PGO notes.
