Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center as at 6 a.m. Oct. 18.
According to the Staff, 20 cases of truce breach were recorded in Mariupol direction: "The militants shelled Shyrokyne, Vodiane, and Lebedynske with 122 mm cannon artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars. In addition, the enemy employed 120 mm and 82 mm mortars as well as IFV weapons against the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the vicinity of Talakivka. The Ukrainian troops' fortifications in Krasnohorivka were assaulted with grenade launchers and small arms.
"Six armed provocations against the Ukrainian forces were recorded in the Luhansk direction. The enemy continued shelling Stanytsia Luhanska with 82 mm mortars as well as committed attacks on the outskirts of Novooleksandrivka, Zolote, and Orikhove using grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms.
"The Russian occupation troops breached the silence regime in Donetsk direction thrice. In particular, the enemy shelled the ATO forces' detachments deployed near Verkhniotoretske with 82 mm mortars. The militants committed attacks in Luhanske and Avdiivka using IFV guns, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms," the situation report reads.
As reported, the militants committed 61 attacks against the ATO forces' positions Oct. 16.
