 "We've closely talked situation around Minsk accords," - Iryna Herashchenko on meeting with US Ambassador Yovanovitch

Verkhovna Rada First Deputy Chairman Iryna Herashchenko and Vice Prime Minister Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze met with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch to discuss the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Censor.NET reports referring to Herashchenko's Facebook.

"We've closely talked the situation around the Minsk accords, marked a principled stand on the issue of regaining control over the Ukrainian border. If there is no full control over the border, we won't be able to ensure security in the Russian-occupied Donbas.

"We've once again discussed the sequence of implementation of the Minsk deal components: security - humanitarian - political. ... since the political component is impossible without sustainable peace and the withdrawal of illegal armed groups, mercenaries and military hardware," Herashchenko wrote.
