 Ukrainian soldier died on border with occupied Crimea

A soldier of a separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died on the border with occupied Crimea.

Military prosecutor of Kherson garrison Yurii Hrom announced, Censor.NET reports citing Obozrevatel.

According to him, the soldier shot himself in the head from his personal weapon on the territory of an abandoned salt factory in Henichesk district of the Kherson region. The 23-year-old died before an ambulance arrived.

"Suicide and careless handling of weapon will be checked by military prosecutors as main versions of the incident," Hrom said.

According to him, a suicide due to a conflict with the fighter's comrades-in-arms should not be excluded.
