 State enterprise top official apprehended on suspicion of embezzlement of $750M of state funds, - Lutsenko

Law enforcers apprehended former chief accountant of "Ukrspyrt” State Enterprise Roman Voloshchuk.

Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"The former chief accountant of "Ukrspyrt" State Enterprise (2012-2014) Voloshchuk was apprehended by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office. Roman Voloshchuk is suspected of embezzlement of the pubic funds," he wrote.

"Voloshchuk transferred about $750,000,000 to the accounts of fictitious companies by prior agreement with the head of "Ukrspyrt" Oleksandr Hart. Moreover, the apprehended is suspected of tax evasion up to a figure of $175 millions," Lutsenko wrote.
