 About 280,000 Ukrainians took part in anti-terrorist operation over 2.5 years, - Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that 266,000 military were granted the status of combatants, while a total of about 280,000 Ukrainians were involved in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) over 2.5 years.

He said this after the commitment ceremony held in Ivan Bohun Kyiv Military Lyceum today, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

"The people, the Ukrainian soldiers, but not funds, equipment, or weapons are what matters in this war," Poroshenko said.

"280,000 Ukrainians were involved in the anti-terrorist operation over 2.5 years, including 266,000 military who were granted the status of combatants," the president added.
