 Rough weather rages in Odesa region: three people killed, including child, - State Emergency Service

Rough weather in the Odesa region on Oct. 12-13 caused 151 villages and towns go de-energized due to automated systems of power lines protection turning on.

This was announced by the State Emergency Service's press office, Censor.NET reports.

The agency said 86 trees fell in the city of Odesa and six districts of the region, killing two adults and a child born in 2005. Another person has suffered electric shock caused by a torn power line.

Numerous buildings and basements in 10 areas of the city have been flooded, the Service reported. They continue fighting the consequences.

Two roofs of private households were damaged by strong wind in Odesa and Chornomorsk.

"291 fighters and 53 units of hardware are involved in repair of the damaged power lines. 104 persons and 27 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service are involved in the rescue works," the agency said.
