Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center as of the morning, Oct. 12.
As noted, 34 truce violations were registered in the area of Mariupol: "Shyrokyne and Vodiane came under 122 mm artillery and 120 mm mortar attack, while 82 mm and 120 mm mortars were employed against Taramchuk, Marinka, Talakivka and Lebedynske. The enemy kept delivering fire in this area of the demarcation line during 24 hours."
Seven attacks were recorded in the Luhansk region. The enemy opened fire on Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka, used grenade launchers, machine guns, anti-tank missile systems, small arms and mortars.
Three attacks against ATO forces were registered in the area of Donetsk: "Ukrainian troops in Novhorodske came under sniper fire. The enemy also employed grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms in this area. The same weaponry and 122 mm artillery were used against Avdiivka."
"In order to retain positions and prevent a breakthrough of the enemy, ATO forces had to return fire, using only machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms," the Staff noted.
As previously reported, on Oct. 10, Russian hybrid forces opened fire on Ukrainian positions 47 times.
