Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) together with Ukraine's Armed Forces fighters detained a militants from the terrorist organization "Donetsk People's Republic," call sign 'Fil,' who was conducting reconnaissance of Ukrainian units' positions in Mariupol direction.

As reported by Censor.NET citing SBU, the 35-year-old Avdiivka resident has participated in combat activities since 2014 near Sloviansk, Shyrokyne, Sakhanka, Savur-Mohyla. Terrorist leaders conferred numerous 'awards' on him.

The detained militant provided extensive evidence of presence and activities of Russian military in the Donbas.

He also confirmed presence of Russian advisers in Leninske village of the Donetsk region, as well participation of Donbas separatists in looting and violence towards civilians.

A criminal proceeding under article 258-3, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been initiated (creation of a terrorist group or organization).

The detained militant received numerous awards from his leaders for participation in skirmishes with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
